Using Fresh Cut Lavender in Bouquets?

How do you get lavender to remain erect so it can be used in a handtied wedding bouquet? We have fresh cut the stems, placed them in food water, but it droops in a way that makes it impossible to tie?

Use floral wire and green floral tape and use that to wrap the stems which will prevent them from drooping so the lavender can be used in a hand tied wedding bouquet.

I'm making lavender bouquets for bridesmaids. I live 4 hrs away from wedding. How do I transport fresh lavender so the flower doesn't droop in transit.

The lavender will be harvested 3 days before the wedding
