I want the recipe for those mints you make in molds for weddings, bridal showers or baby showers.

Cream Cheese Mints

1 8oz. block cream cheese
1 2# bag of powdered sugar
Peppermint extract
Food coloring
Granulated sugar

Mix room temp cream cheese with the powdered sugar (best done with your
hands). Add peppermint extract to taste (we've used extracts and oils...
with oils it's a very slight amount, otherwise it's too strong... with the

extract it may be a few drops, or a bit more but I can't recall). Knead
until stiff enough to handle easily. Divide into two or three balls and
knead different food coloring into each until color is uniform.
We use silicon candy molds.... figure out about what size of small ball fits
into the mold, roll in granulated sugar (helps them come out of the mold
easily) and press into mold. Then you can pop them right out, place in
single layer on cookie sheet, and refrigerate until firm. (You can skip the
refrigeration... if you leave them out, they will eventually harden up.)

These make very pretty Christmas mints, or something special for a wedding.

If you don't have molds, and still want to do this, you can just roll the
mix into small balls, press with thumb to flatten slightly, coat with the

sugar, let harden (or not <g>), and EAT. :-)
You can also use other flavorings.... teaberry, lemon, and butter rum work
well; almond doesn't taste so good. ;-p
Experiment.

hope this helps!

I use the cream cheese recipe from above but I use the almond extract instead it gives them the cherry like flavor. Yummy Good! And they are freezable for months. We started on mine months in advance for the Wedding and Shower and froze them.

Thanks to all that replied!! I have a friend that just loves them and I want to make them for her! She is due at end of March with her baby and she's been craving them. I am going to make pink one's for the birth of her little girl Emma Nicole.
