How do you respond when your son and future daughter-in-law request that you not attend the wedding because the future mother-in-law (my wife) did not comply with dress color request?

Get a new dress for your wife that complies with the color scheme or what the happy couple wants. It's their day. If they say they want it let it go. Which is more important, being at your son's wedding or your wife wearing the dress she wants?
