Buying Molded Wedding Mints?

I would like to serve those mints that people make by putting in molds and freezing, at my wedding reception. However the reception site will not let me bring in homemade food. Does anyone know of a bakery or candy store that makes them in the Twin Cities, MN area?

I think I would beat the system and ask the grocery store for a donut box/container and then print out a receipt on the computer from a "friend's bakery".
By the way, your grocer or a deli may even be able to make them for you.

A COUPLE RECIPES. I never have frozen mine. Keep in tupperware, make a week or 2 prior to event. Get a bakery box and take them. My sister used to make them before moving out of MN, she charged $.05 per small mold. I told her to double that price.

Are you sure they wouldn't allow it if it was a gift for guests to take when they leave? My friend just had a 50th birthday party and I wanted to make a bunch of "50" cookies and she said the catering site said no however, once I put them in bags and they were taken at the end of the event it is fine.

I think the problem is if anyone gets sick from your stuff they could be liable since you don't have insurance for this. Silly, but they have rules.
