DIY Last Minute Wedding Invitation Cards

I mailed or handed out all of our wedding cards and realized we were short a few cards. Instead of purchasing another DIY wedding invitation kit, I decided to look at what I had on hand and was able to come up with this last minute wedding card. I had extra blank floral cards and envelopes. You could use this as a guide to even make your own wedding cards or any invitations!

On your word document, you will need to set paper to 5" x 7" (invitation) and 3.5" x 5" (response card).

You may want to print on regular paper for trial and error before printing on your cards officially.

Total Time: 30 minutes

  1. Measure out invitation card and response card onto the cardstock. The default sizes are 5" x 7" and 3.5" x 5" or you can make your own customized size if you would like (be sure the size you make will fit your envelope.)
  2. Use your paper trimer to cut out your cards.

  4. On your computer, type out your invitation. Print out cards (here is a sample:)
  5. Trim card invitation to size of your blank card. (If you do not have any blank cards, you can use another cardstock paper as a border.) Since my card has curved edge, I had to trim it down a little then glue down.
  6. Ready to put the cards into the envelope and mail/hand cards.
