Oh, dear - of course I would never demand matching anything -because I would like everyone to be able to wear those shoes/dresses AGAIN!
Remember this tip all thru your life. I have a number of colored sharpies that have saved many an outfit! Bleach marks disappear with a "coloring in", those tuff to get out sauce stains too!
My bridesmaid dresses were chocolate brown and cocktail length, so I just asked them to wear a high heeled black sandal and left it at that. Even though their feet were very visible, no one remarked that they had on different styles of shoes or felt that the black and brown clashed.
