I saw an old movie the other night and in it a bride was walking down the aisle with a bouquet of 3 or 4 large lilies. They looked like those day lilies you often see reproduced, tied with a bow, and held sideways cradled in the bride's arm.

Don't you mean calla lilies? They can be grown in the yard, so you can cut your own. Asian lilies, aka day lilies, can be grown at home, too.
Yes, I agree with the before me person...they are probably calla lillies and are very lovely and so very sophisticated. They do grow in the garden in many locations.
Yes, I do believe you mean calla lillies and they grow in many parts of the country. Not like day lillies or other lillies these do NOT have a fragrance.
