A framed picture of a wedding couple.I watched a show on Oprah. They said the two things people remember most about a wedding are the music and the food. Therefore, don't spend too much money on flowers and other categories.

When our daughter married, she chose a new establishment. The people were eager to make a reputation for themselves. We got a reasonable price and a lot of extras. Her friends who married there just a year later paid far more.

It has been my experience that still photographs get looked at a lot more than videos. Therefore, I would put money into that. With smartphones today, guests can take plenty of videos.

Remember that the wedding is just one day. Spend your engagement thinking of how you can make your partner happy for the rest of your lives, not how you can impress people who will undoubtedly forget the minute details of your wedding very quickly.
