I saw this cute idea online and thought I would make one as a "gift topper" with a few recipes clipped to it. The gift was a waffle maker, so I attached some waffle recipes under the clip.
Total Time: 30 minutes
Yield: 1
Supplies:
- paintbrush
- toothpick
- pencil
- assorted acrylic paints
- Elmer's glue all or glue gun
- lace
- magnet back
Steps:
- Using a pencil, draw an outline on the side of the clothespin for the groom's hair, eyes, shirt, and tux and on the bride's side, her dress line, hair, eye, and lips.
- Paint the groom using black for the tux and white for the shirt. I used a toothpick dipped in black to paint his eyes. I painted his hair with brown. Paint the bride using white for the dress. I used a toothpick dipped in black to paint her eyes and red for her lips. I painted her hair blonde.
- Let paint dry. While paint is drying, cut a piece of lace trim to make a veil. I fold the top of the trim and glued it together, making a gather. Cut a longer piece of lace trim for the "dress" using the same procedure. Let dry. Glue veil on top of head and other piece of trim at the waist of the bride. Glue magnet on back.
