I am getting married for the second time. The venue is as small country church. My soon to be father-in-law will be performing ceremony, with a few guests (immediate family). I got married at the courthouse the first time. Even at 42, I am not your typical girly girl. I wear hippy type dresses or just jeans and t-shirt.

You could wear a 70's style ivory or beige vintage lace dress.
Years ago I posed this question to the bridal consultant for a very well-known upscale major department store chain I worked at. She said, "The bride should wear whatever the groom wants her to wear, no matter what number nuptials it is." Nice advice.
I would choose an ankle length beige dress with a flowing skirt and scoop neck (not too low!)
A few flowers for your hair that are in your bouquet would be charming and casual. Best wishes!
I agree. Remember the granny dresses we used to wear? I wish you well!
I just remembered the name of the gorgeous dresses from the 70's. Gunny Sacks.
